McCartney, 69, who is still recording and touring, said he refused to listen to the advice and decided to continue because he was still “enjoying” his career. He told Mojo magazine that he ended up parting company with the manager who suggested he stopped making music.
“One of my old guys who I used to have as my manager, I was knocking 50 and he said ‘I think it’s time you retired’. I thought, I know what you mean, but I don’t really feel like it, you know,” the Independent quoted the singer as saying. And if I’m really enjoying this, why retire? So I decided against it, and got rid of him. I wonder what he thinks today. Perhaps that he was right, but hopefully not,” he said. --ANI

Five years later, 'Love' proves recession-proof while 'Phantom' makes concessions - ReviewJournal.com
Granted, it was one of the more amazing feats of show business: getting the four business interests of the Beatles to agree on anything, much less a show in Las Vegas. Even with John Lennon and George Harrison gone, "We knew we had the opportunity to at least play at this great reunion." Read More - ReviewJournal.com

'Money', 'Twist 'n' Shout', 'You really got a hold on me' etc, were all numbers we (the Beatles) used to sing in the dancehalls around Britain, mainly Liverpool. It was only natural that we tried to do it as near to the record as we could - i always wished we could have done them even closer to the original. We didn't sing our own songs in the early days - they weren't good enough - the one thing we always did was to make it known that these were black originals, we loved the music and wanted to spread it in any way we could. in the '50s there were few people listening to blues - R + B - rock and roll, in America as well as Britain. Biopic Of Beatles Manager Moving Forward, Secures Rights To Beatles Songs
Doing a biopic of The Beatles
is probably the end-all be-all of musician biopics, because it's hardly like you'd need to detail any other band if you tell the story of the most popular band of all time. But instead of just doing a movie about the Beatles, a production company is going a different direction: there is a biopic of Brian Epstein
, manager to the Beatles, in the works, and it's close to coming to fruition, as it has secured rights to at least 10 Beatles songs, and gained tons of financing. Expect to hear some casting news soon, probably. But there is apparently another Epstein biopic in the works too, so there's a chance we could end up dealing with two different accounts of the man who handled the Beatles' money. prefixmag
