Gentle George - guardian.co.uk
George Harrison would have turned 68 today, so I offer you a later (possibly from the 1991 Japan gigs?) rendition of "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)," a lovely tune with a typically Harrisonesque complex chord progression that he managed to make flow like soothing bathwater (F, Fdim, Gm, C, Am, C, Eflat, Bflat, for those of you who are interested; you put the capo on the third fret, though, and you actually play D, Ddim, Em, A...etc...you take it from there). STOP SMOKING RIGHT NOW!
Vaping an e-cig has become a major passion of mine and will probably save my life, (at least from smoking related diseases). I've already told you how I stopped smoking using Vapor4Life's e-cigarette, and I hope many of you got yourselves or a loved one a starter kit and found out how easy it is to stop smoking! If you haven't, I sincerely hope you will get in on this, it's your life. No carbon monoxide, no tar and whatever the other 4,000 additives known chemicals are, and the over 50,000 unknown chemicals in a real cigarette. There are 2-4 ingredients in e-cigs, depending on your preference. No bad smell, no ashes - come on! These things should sell themselves! If I can quit almost instantly after 40+ years of smoking then I promise you anyone can. It was not a struggle at all, I had a hell of a time with the patch, the gum, Chantix, etc. THIS WORKS! And now that my taste buds are fully activated I've made another profoundly intense discovery about Vapor4Life: They have they have a huge selection of flavors I've started experimenting with. I vape mostly tobacco flavors, but it's a great treat to vape something different. Coffee, Mocha, Pineapple, Cappuccino, Cinnamon Bun, Mango, French Vanilla Ice Cream and on and on. I have a list of maybe 4 I'm not crazy about, it's easier than making a list of what I do like, which is huge and getting bigger. I am enjoying sampling the different e-flavors, and I just hope you experiment a bit and make your vaping even more pleasurable.

'Butcher Cover' Sells At Auction For More Than $26,000
Yesterday and Today, the Beatles album, was recalled after its release in 1966. It was an image of blood-splattered and chopped up doll parts strewn about the members of the band. The Beatles were dressed in white butchers' smocks, and has since become known as The Butcher Cover. Every copy of this album cover was supposed to be destroyed, but there are thought to be 25 copies in existence of the album with the original album cover. This factory sealed vinyl LP was in mint condition and sold for $26,290. That's a lot of clams, though I actually thought it would get more.

Aashish Khan's long-lost song with George Harrison - The National
"At that time, people did not know the word 'fusion'," he says during a flying visit to Dubai, where his sister Lajo Gupta has lived for 25 years. George
and I became friends while working on a movie production. The filmmakers wanted a song based on pop music so I asked for his help because I did not know what pop music was. He played the intro and a solo in the middle on guitar while I sang. It was based on the fact we are all children of God. The movie was never [properly] released and neither was the song. Maybe I will release it one day. It is a gorgeous track and it will be huge when I do." Read More - The National

Fans mark Beatles 50th anniversary
Beatles
fans will gather in Liverpool tomorrow for a celebration of 50 years since the Fab Four played their debut gig at the city's Cavern Club
. John, Paul, George and Ringo first took to the stage of the famous Mathew Street venue during a lunchtime session on Tuesday February 9 1961. Over the following two years they made a total of 292 appearances until their final performance on August 3 1963 - as Beatlemania
took off around the world.
The original Cavern was demolished in the 1970s to make way for a shopping centre but a replica club stands nearby which will be the focus of tomorrow's events. Cavern City Tours, the owner of the current venue, has organised a day of tribute events and Liverpool City Council will be unveiling a major revamp of Mathew Street. The plans include a new memorial in the form of a ceiling of light, dubbed Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, to be installed running the full length of the street.
Improvements will also be carried out to the John Lennon
statue and Arthur Dooley's sculpture Four Lads Who Shook The World. Other stars associated with the Cavern Club include Cilla Black, who was a cloakroom attendant when she was discovered by Brian Epstein, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Undertakers and the Searchers.
